2nd Advisory Report from PTC

SADeaf welcomes the findings and its recommendations by the Public Transport Council (PTC) in their 2nd advisory report for our Deaf & Hard-of-hearing community.

– Countdown timers on display panels at the platforms.
– Push notification of disruption information in sign language.
– Place greater emphasis on bus captains’ familiarity with the names of the landmarks in English along their routes for those who are English educated.
– More public education on commuting with our community.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Public Transport Council for co-organising Focus Group Discussions (over 2 days with 6 groups) last year to gather feedback from our community.

Let’s work towards a more inclusive Singapore!
