The Little Hands Bilingual-Bicultural Programme will provide the following to the children with hearing loss in this programme:
- A learning environment – where children have the opportunity to learn through play and exploration of their surroundings. In this programme, with its planned range of activities, provides a broad and appropriate setting for this to happen. The curriculum in this programme is flexible enough to allow children to explore their environment and the activities at a level appropriate to their own cognitive and learning development.2. A physical environment – where children can explore and develop their physical potential. Healthy bodily development and physical growth can influence the way a child will interact with and operate in his/her physical environment.3. A linguistic environment – where the environment will allow children to continue to develop their linguistic skills in Singapore Sign Language and English.4. A social environment – where children have the opportunity to practice the linguistic and social skills they have developed at home and in class in a broader social setting.
