Mountbatten Vocational School

Mountbatten Vocational School is an ITE Approved Training Centre which issues ITE Skills Certificates to persons with disabilities. The ITE Skills Certificate (ISC) is a two-year training programme. The programme conducted by the Vocational School for the Handicapped (later renamed to Mountbatten Vocational School) begun in 1997 as an alternative to traditional, archetypal technical skill courses of the past.

Deputy Director/ Administrator
Ernest Toh* was appointed as Deputy Director of SADeaf on 1 July 2023. He initially joined the Association on 1 August 2011, serving as the Administrator/Principal of Mountbatten Vocational School and Singapore School for the Deaf. His career in the field of education began upon earning a Bachelor’s Degree in 1991 and a Master’s Degree in Education in 1994, both from La Sierra University, USA.

Vice-Principal
Koh Hwee Ping* joined Mountbatten Vocational School as Vice Principal on 17 October 2022. With over 20 years in education, she has served as a vocational teacher at Crest Secondary School, a Senior Teacher at Pathlight School, and an Education Officer with the Ministry of Education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Pass with Merit) from NUS, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) from NIE, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Hotel and Tourism Management from IMI, Switzerland.
