GST Update

Programme and service fee update: GST implementation

From 1 March 2026, SADeaf will be GST-registered. This means in line with government requirements, a 9% Goods and Services Tax (GST) will need to be collected for our paid programmes and services.

Important notes:

  • GST applies only to invoices issued on or after 1 March 2026.
  • Our rates remain the same – the 9% GST will be added on top of the billed amount.
  • GST is a government-mandated tax collected for the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS). SADeaf does not keep this money – we collect it and pay it to IRAS.
  • GST‑registered business clients may claim back the GST paid as input tax, so it does not become an extra cost to them.

We remain committed to keeping our programmes and services accessible and sustainable. Thank you for your continued trust and support.

FAQ

What is GST?

GST stands for Goods and Services Tax. It is a tax on the supply of goods and services. For more details, please refer to IRAS: https://www.iras.gov.sg/taxes/goods-services-tax-(gst)

When will GST be added?

GST will be applied beginning on 1 March 2026 and will be included in all applicable transactions.

Why is GST being added, and what rules does it follow?

GST is something we need to apply in line with government requirements. GST is transparently collected and paid to IRAS as required. SADeaf does not keep the money.

Which of our services are affected?

GST will apply to all paid programmes and services issued on invoices dated 1 March 2026 onwards. Our rates themselves remain unchanged – the 9% GST will be added on top of the billed amount.

What about items such as batteries?

Items like batteries are also subject to GST from 1 March 2026. The updated price list will be available at our front office, and GST will be added to these items just like our programmes and services.

How will GST show up on invoices?

GST will be displayed clearly on invoices as part of the transaction. The GST amount will be listed separately so it’s transparent and easy to identify.
