FAQ: Basic Sign Communication (BSC) Course

Yes. Basic Sign Communication course conducted by SADeaf are open to members of the public. Most of our students are hearing, but we also accept deaf and hard-of-hearing students who wish to learn manual code signs.

Please check the Basic Sign Communication course schedule. Note that if the class you sign up for is under-subscribed, you will be advised to transfer to a class (with enough students) that will proceed.

For primary and secondary school students, we advise the schools or teachers to approach us to arrange a special programme tailored to the students’ needs.

We conduct new classes every two months. Example: The next intake will be in August if you have missed registration in June.

No. There are no stages or levels for this BSC course.

Yes. You will get a Certificate of Attendance after you have successfully completed the course with at least 75%  attendance.

It lasts eight weeks, consisting of three hours once a week
