Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research potential donors and map the partnership landscape
  2. Cultivate, engage and retain individual and corporate donors
  3. Preparation of donation appeal letters, proposals and impact reports

Senior Executive/Assistant Manager, Marketing & Partnerships

We are looking for Volunteer Management personnel to develop and implement volunteer management strategies, including recruitment, engagement, onboarding and training. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruit, onboard, and engage volunteers to support the Deaf, Deafblind, and Hard-of-hearing communities.
  2. Develop and oversee programmes involving volunteers, such as community outreach and event support. Collaborate with relevant departments to schedule and assign volunteers to support programmes and events effectively.
  3. Plan and manage the budget for volunteer programmes, ensuring efficient allocation of financial resources while achieving programme goals. 
  4. Coordinate with the Engagement Department to secure funding, grants, and sponsorships for volunteer initiatives.
  5. Facilitate and coordinate training to equip volunteers with the skills needed to support the community.
  6. Develop strategies to enhance the development and retention of volunteers
  7. Manage stakeholder relationships, monitor programme effectiveness, gather feedback, and implement improvements to enhance outcomes. 
  8. Provide periodic reports to analyse effectiveness of volunteer engagement and to ensure transparency and accountability.

To succeed in this role, you should: 

  1. Good communication skills – written, visual, in person
  2. Have a strong desire to continuously learn and develop
  3. Be able to work independently, be adaptable, and manage ambiguity
  4. Be proficient in working with digital tools, including Google Workspace and Salesforce

Speech Language Therapist

If you are passionate about supporting Deaf and Hard-of-hearing students in their speech and language development, this position is for you. We are looking for a Speech Language Therapist to plan, develop and implement individualised therapy intervention plans for diverse communication needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and deliver tailored communication interventions for students with hearing loss, aligned with their Individual Education Plans.
  2. Conduct speech, language and communication assessments to develop individualised therapy plans for students across MOE pre-school to post-secondary levels.
  3. Provide direct therapy sessions and consultative support to teachers, parents and other stakeholders to enhance student outcomes.
  4. Collaborate with school personnel and families to monitor progress, review goals and adjust interventions based on student needs and developments in the field.

To succeed in this role, you should have: 

  1. A Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology or Therapy from a recognised university.
  2. Full registration with AHPC, with at least two years of clinical experience.
  3. Experience working with children and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. A heart for serving the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing.
  5. A willingness to learn (or proficiency in) Singapore Sign Language (SgSL).

Specialised Teacher

We’re looking for Specialised Teachers who are passionate in developing the next generation of students with hearing loss (HL) via the medium of Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) in a mainstream school. Make a difference in the lives of these students as you co-create lesson plans and co-teach with the mainstream teacher. The Singapore Association for the Deaf (SADeaf) offers competitive salaries, a nurturing environment and opportunities to be involved in projects for the deaf community. You will play a key role in the growth and empowerment of our students.   

Key Responsibilities :

  1. Co-create lesson plans with mainstream teacher 
  2. Co-teach with mainstream teacher
  3. Promote Deaf awareness and provide accessibility support 
  4. Develop and implement specialised intervention programmes to support academic behaviour and social emotional development 
  5. Develop and implement assessment methods that accommodate the communication modes and abilities of the HL students.
  6. Attend and participate in SADeaf events and meetings

To succeed in this role, you should : 

  1. Have achieved SgSL Course Level 3 or at least SEE2 Advanced Stage
  2. Have a degree in any field, preferably with additional diploma in special education 
  3. Relevant qualifications and experience in teaching (preferred)
  4. Preferably with experience in interacting with the Deaf community

Educational Interpreter

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide interpretation (English Language to and from SgSL) for lessons and all school activities and programmes

  4. Provide consultation and build capacity of teachers and other school personnel to support HL students
  5. Conduct and/or organise workshops for parents and families of HL students

Sign Language Interpreter (Part-time / Full-time Position with flexi-work arrangements)

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform spoken English to Singapore Sign Language (SgSL) and SgSL to spoken English interpretation duties in a variety of settings and locations
  2. Deliver sign language interpretation in a professional and ethical manner
  3. Consistently undertake professional training and development
  4. Guide Community Sign Language interpreters as needed
  5. Develop and maintain resources such as training materials
  6. Support the organisation’s events and activities

To succeed in this role, you should:

  1. Be fluent in English and competent in Singapore Sign Language (SgSL)
  2. Be comfortable working with people of all ages and backgrounds
  3. Have a strong desire to continuously learn and develop
  4. Be comfortable working in a variety of settings, such as in classrooms, corporate meetings, in front of a camera for broadcasts, in front of audiences, and online in a Video Relay Service
  5. Have good mental and physical stamina
  6. Be able to deal with ambiguity while maintaining a strong sense of ethics
  7. Be able to work independently with little supervision and be adaptable to changing work and environmental conditions
  8. Be able and willing to be rostered to work on shifts, which could include weekends, nights and public holidays as needed
  9. Be proficient in working with digital tools, especially Google Workspace
  10. Have a recognised diploma or degree in any field
